Hey guys, long time no type. Things are alright over here on Stewart Street at my new crib, with Mike Larson and Jacob Landry (played in Flymo, if that helps). Sometimes there are dishes in the sink but it's not too bad. There's no heat in my room and I don't want to by a space heater. Usually I crank the gas heater in the bathroom and open my door to there and just let it work on in. I like to turn off all the lights in my room and watch the soft orange of the heater reflect of the white door of the bathroom. It makes a very soothing woosh sound.
Life is good, I'll probably enroll in the summer semester at SLCC to finish up the associates. My paramedic shit is drawing to a close, finally, I should be Nationally Registered by April if I play my cards right. I'm back working in Grosse Tete, which I enjoy. It's out in the Boonies but we get good calls.
I miss my dog a lot. Rusty was a good fucking dog, and my Grandmother is babysitting Mr Frank until my rents come back from European theater...I think they're hitting Egypt for two weeks next.
I'm going to start working out again, I've decided. I'm tired of being flabby and soft.
My band is going pretty well. I'm investing the money next check to get a new head for my cab...hopefully it won't be too much of a pain in the ass to secure. It's about time to start searching for a new bass too...I think I'll get a j bass this time...I'm too much of a fender bitch to switch. We're called The Codes. We're recording right now, and I don't get near as much practice in as I should.
I've been clean from the drugs for a pretty good period now, more than I've ever gone since I started using them (ie the end of high school), which is weird almost. I don't know why I'm talking about it.
My love life is still empty. Not much I can do about that yet. Soon, maybe...a couple of ladies on the horizon, I think.
So, yeah.

Now that we're over there, Bush can point and say "Look at all the terrorists over there, we are fighting a war on terror!" etc. The truth is that the terrorists would not be there if the US was over there. Yeah, Saddam was massacring his own people, but if we wanted to go over there to overthrow a dictator, why did we need proof in the first place. But now that we're stuck in this shit. You have to choose between two really crappy decisions - 1. Saddam stays in power, continues to rule with Iron Fist, thousands of Iraqis die. 2. We topple Saddam, try to start new democratic government, thousands of Iraqis still die. Choice 2 is a horribly shitty choice, and I feel like dirt for saying it, but it's at least a little better then letting Saddam kill everyone.
Do you know how depressing it is to be all happy at hallmark and then a group of about 10 people dressed up in black wearing a little yellow ribbon on their shirts come up to you and ask you where the Sympathy Christmas cards are?!?! then half of them start crying?.... You know what's more depressing? that wasn't the only group of people that came in like that.. husband and wives lost, brothers, sisters, grandchildren, mothers and fathers..... Uncles and aunts.. families completely destroyed.
